Valentine’s gift ideas for men

So let’s get real - men are super hard to buy for. I don’t know about you, but whenever I ask my boyfriend what he wants he goes 'I don’t know' and I’m like 'jeez, thanks, that’s super helpful'. 

So without further ado let’s get started! 

1. Valentine’s treasure hunt 

I did this for the first Valentine's my boyfriend and I were together. I wrote clues as to where the presents were. It doesn’t have to be expensive. I used things like his favourite food, beer and a picture of us. It’s quite a cute idea. It depends how much you want to spend but either way it’s fun and enjoyable.

2. If you want to be proper extra, you could get a cake made.My boyfriend did this for me for our first Valentine’s Day - let’s be real, everybody loves cake! You could even try to make one yourself. Personally I can’t cook for shit so I don’t want to give my beloved James food poisoning. I can make good roast potatoes,
 that’s about it. But if you can cook, this is a good idea for you. 

3. Valentine’s Day hamper 

You can buy hamper baskets really cheaply - Amazon is probably the best place. You can fill the hamper with your boyfriend's favourite chocolate or fill it to a theme like 'date night'. You could put a gift card for a restaurant or the cinema in there. Or maybe a DVD and some popcorn. Think about it, with gift cards for restaurants or the cinema it’s going to benefit you too! It's a win-win situation!

4. A mug 

It’s pretty basic and simple, but getting a lovely personalised mug comes from the heart. James loves Minions, so I got him a Minion mug in the shape of a heart with his name on. He keeps it at my house. I think he really likes it, he uses it every time he comes to mine. 

5. Memory book

I think it's a lovely idea to make a book full of all your memories of the last year together. I made James one of these. I kept all our cinema tickets just for this idea. I printed out pictures for each month and things we did together in those months. It’s something that you can keep forever and look back at in years to come and remember all the things you did together. It took me about a week to make, so you need to have patience. But when it was completed I was really proud of myself as it did look quite good.
