Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. So, in a previous blog I’ve done my everyday make up routine - this week I’m going to do a Valentine’s inspired make up look.
Disclaimer: I’m not a make up artist. All my opinions are my own, I’m just doing my make up the way I want to.
So without further ado, here we go...
I start by using my NIVEA Soft Moisturising Cream to prep my face. It’s really affordable. I use this in my everyday make up routine and it is one of my faves. I’ll link to all the products I’ve used at the end of this blog just in case you want to purchase them.
I then use my Tarte Shape Tape foundation in shade fair-light neutral. It’s a hydrating foundation so it is perfect if you have dry skin. I use my Beautyblender to blend it all in to my lovely face. My favourite concealer is theMaybelline Instant Anti-Age Eraser Concealer which I used in this make up look. I may only be 22 but the circles under my eyes tell a different story. Mine is in the shade 00 Ivory as I’m quite pale so this shade brightens up the area under my eyes and makes me look alive.
I use the Soap & Glory One Heck of A Blot powder to set my foundation and concealer in place.
To contour, I use the Hoola bronzer from benefit. It feels like everyone has this bronzer and I can see why, it’s pretty good. I never used to wear bronzer until I found this product and I must say I love it. I also use my Ted Baker highlighter and bronzer compact just to give my face a golden glow. I really love highlighter - I don’t know why, I just love to sparkle and I get a bit slap happy with this product sometimes but, again, I just love it so much.
Now onto the eyes...
When I think of Valentine’s Day I think of either pink or red, so I went for a pink glittery look. I used my Huda Beauty
Rose Gold palette. I used the shade SHY all over my lid as
the base colour, then used MANEATER in my crease and
blended it all in. Then I used FLAMINGO over my lid and ANGELIC on my bottom lash line. To give it a sparkly look I finished with ROSEGOLD on top of my lid and MOONDUST on my inner corner. The final result...
I use the Too Faced 'Better Than Sex' mascara on my eyelashes. This mascara has been in all my make up blogs and isn’t going anywhere any time soon. I love it too much.
I had 3 potential lipsticks I thought I’d show you which I think would go with this look. The first lipstick is the Urban Decay Vice liquid lipstick in Big Bang. It’s a very vibrant lipstick but goes with the pink look so well. It’s so glittery and lovely. I wouldn’t say it’s an everyday lip colour, more of an 'out out' colour. If you don’t want to go all vibrant you could choose this next colour - it’s the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in the shade Pillow Talk. It’s my everyday lipstick when I wear one and it’s a really nice nude pink shade. And of course, we can’t go without a red lipstick. This one is from The Body Shop. It’s a matte lip liquid in the shade Sydney Amaryllis 014. I find all Body Shop lipsticks really moisturising on the lips and they taste like vanilla.
