As you are all aware, I’m a make up hoarder. So obviously I had to get my hands on the new ColourPop collection. I don’t own any ColourPop make up, and I always love to try new make up brands. ColourPop is an American brand so delivery can be quite expensive, but at the time I purchased this it was free shipping. You do have to pay a custom charge as it comes from the USA. For the whole collection I paid $89, which converts to about £60.
The collection is called Brunch Date, which I think is really cute. The collection comes in a make up bag which is a really good size, perfect to take on holiday, which is exactly what I’m going to do.
There are 3 liquid matte lipsticks in this collection. All 3 contain the lipstick and the lip liner. The first lipstick is in the shade @ Me, it’s a really nice pink shade. Pink lipsticks tend to suit me, so I’ll definitely be wearing this! The lip pencil with this lipstick is called Oh Snap. I love sets that come with a lip pencil, as now you haven’t got to search the
shops for a lip pencil that’s perfect with the lipstick.
Everyone loves a red lip, don’t they? This lipstick is in the shade Self Love Club! The lip liner is in the shade Go-to Bossy. I think red lipstick is a really bold colour and it either suits you or it doesn’t.
The last lipstick is in the shade Little One. It’s a perfect pink nude. Pink/nude shades seem to suit me better. The lip pencil is in the shade Lippie. All the lipsticks are super moisturising and don’t dry your lips out. They are also matte so look really lovely.
All 3 of these lipsticks are $11.50 (£8.82) each. Which isn’t a bad price for a lipstick and lip liner.
There is also a blush and a highlighter in this collection. The blush is in the shade Soul Mate. It’s a pink blush shade. It’s a pressed powder, and is a perfect size for travelling with. There’s also a handy mirror inside the compact.
The highlighter is in the shade Swipe Right. It’s a champagne colour, really pigmented and gives your face a lovely glow. Again it’s a pressed powder and a compact with a mirror inside.
The highlighter and the blush is $8 (£6.13) which I think is really affordable.
There are also 2 liquid eye shadow, one is in the shade Bellini and the other is in the shade OG. They are very similar shades but one is more rose gold. I’ve never used liquid eye shadows before and I don’t really know what to make of them. But you don’t know until you try so I’ll give
them a go and let you know how I get on.
This set is $14 (£10.72)
Also in the collection are 2 eyeliners. A black one in the shade Sincerely Yours and a brown one in XOXO. They are
gel liners, which I prefer as they are really easy to apply and
really gentle on the eye. They have a slight glitter to them,
which I like. They are also really smooth.
Both of these eye liners are $5 (£3.83) each.
My favourite part of this collection is the eye shadow palette. It’s beautiful! The colours are amazing and so pigmented! The names of the eye shadow shades are super cute as well. My favourite is Sundae Funday. It’s a pink glittery shade and it’s perfect. The palette has mostly nude/pink shades and a pop of blue. They blend really well and are very soft on the eyes.
This eye shadow palette is $18 (£13.80).
