Ca'n Picafort 2019

Can Picafort 2019 I’m currently laying on my sofa feeling sorry for myself because my amazing holiday is over. :( I’m home after an amazing 10 days.  I hope you’re all ready to hear about it ahah. Our flight was at 6am from Stansted. Having breakfast at 4am in Wetherspoons did feel a little weird. I don’t mind planes, I just don’t like when they land as it makes me feel sick so I had to put my head on James’s shoulder to stop feeling dizzy. I don’t do travel very well and that was a very long day of it. I was running on about 3 hours sleep.  We arrived in Mallorca on 19th May and stayed in the Hotel Haiti in Ca’n Picafort. On arrival we went to bed for about 6 hours. The hotel was lovely. Well, the pool was absolutely freezing but apart from that it was awesome. As we were all inclusive we had all our meals and drinks for free, in a way! I kid you not, I ate a shit load of brown rolls. I'm not too sure what they were but they were sooooo good! The food ...

The story of my life ๐Ÿ’“

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! As you all know, I've started a YouTube channel. Someone suggested that I make a ‘draw my life’ video, but I couldn’t figure out how I would film it so... I’m writing a blog about it instead. So let’s start at the very beginning - a very good place to start.

I was born on 21st December 1996 in Norwich, to my mum Donna and my dad Matthew. My full name is Megan Ellen Betts, my middle name came from my great nanny who unfortunately I didn’t get to meet but I am told she was a lovely lady. I was the first female Betts to be born into the family so I was pretty special. Funny story: I grew up with an imaginary friend called Stephen. I’m not sure where he came from or why I called him Stephen. However, Stephen went away in 2002 when my little sister arrived. I was 5 when Abby was born. I didn’t like her to start with as another child had got all my mum’s attention which I wasn’t happy about haha.
Unfortunately, around that time my mum and dad broke up. :( So then it was just me, mum and Abby. We also got a cat around this time who I named Jamie. He was all black and even though black cats are supposed to be unlucky, Jamie definitely brought me lots of good luck. My dad remarried a few years later and I now have a step brother and sister. My mum also found love again so they both found their happily-ever-afters.

My school life wasn’t exactly great. I got bullied by a
girl who lived two doors down from me. Her name
was Meagan, and I’m not ashamed to name her.
She made my life hell from first school all the way through to middle school. She even whipped me
round the face with a skipping rope which, trust me,
hurt a lot. High school was just as bad. I wasn’t one of the popular ones and I hated every single minute of it. I couldn’t wait to leave. I had zero confidence and I used to make myself sick with worry because I
just didn't want to go in. But I got through it, passed my GCSEs and moved onto the next chapter of my life: WORK!

During the summer of 2013 I went on a family holiday to Florida, which was amazing. Being a total Disney freak all my dreams had come true.
I started working in a supermarket in 2014 when I was 17. I worked on the checkouts and really liked it. I still work there now. I have made loads of friends who I know will be my friends for life and also my future husband 2 years later (maybe) (totally have).

The start of 2014 was a really bad time for me. A boy
I liked from high school didn’t like me in the same
way I liked him, I was having arguments with my mum all the time and my friends from school who I thought were my friends totally weren’t. I always felt conscious about my weight and my friends were always way skinnier than me. I remember watching Friends With Benefits, the film with Justin Timberlake, and one of my friends said Mila Kunis was fat. Have you seen Mila Kunis? Mate, if she’s fat, I’m obese and that sticks with me to this day. I don’t really see those friends any more and tbh I’m better off without them.

Right, let’s move on to some happy stuff. :)

In 2015 I saw this cute boy down the fresh food aisle where I work and thought ‘yeah, you’re alright’. He did also work there - I wasn’t stalking customers! It wasn’t until the end of 2015 when we started to speak to each other. I used to walk past him and he would say ‘ewww you’re in’, or when he was on tills with me he would push his chair into mine. Eventually, we agreed we liked each other and we made ourselves official. 3 years later we are still going strong. The love of my life, my James. He might snore like an elephant but I love him all the same. He came along at just the right time.

In 2017 I had to have my beloved Jamie put to sleep. He was 15 years old and he had a very good life - he was a very spoilt cat. But my heart broke I must admit, I’ll always have a place in my heart for Jamie. In 2018 I started to progress at work. I was supervising on checkouts and felt really confident. I knew how to do my job and do it very well I must admit. However, I thought it was time for a change so decided to move into the cafรฉ for a new adventure.
My dad also turned 50 (sorry dad) and we had a massive party to celebrate. I went to Centre Parcs with James for a week which was really lovely. I got two new cats called Harry and Mollie. This year I started a YouTube channel which you should totally subscribe to!

I’m very happy and content. Everything is going right. 2019 is to be continued...
